There are many ways that you can fundraise at work.
Hold your own event
Show off and put on a performance. Charge friends and other staff for tickets to the event, then show off again about how much money your raised. There are plenty of ways to show off your office’s talents and getting some positive local PR out of it too!
We would always recommend putting on a dance show as it can be so much fun for everyone involved (but we are a little biased to dance) but you could also put on a play, or summer annual sports day too. Or you could hold your own X-Factor or karaoke competition. Not only do events like these raise money but they break down barriers in the office and create an opportunity to relax together and have fun.
Another more serious idea is to hold a special lecture about an element of our work, such as children’s rights, health and nutrtion or poverty in other parts of the world (and why you and your company are involved) and and then charge for entry.
Other Ideas
Charity Dress-Down Days are always a simple and popular way of raising money in the workplace. Similarly people baking cakes at home and bringing them in to sell at break-time are also a very simple and effective way of raising money, but there are many other ideas too.
Maybe the whole office could forego something for one day – such as not buy a Starbucks coffee on their break – and donate the money instead.
You could hold an auction (inviting your suppliers and customers along) for various things, including your services as a company for an hour/day perhaps, or you could hold a car-boot sale in the office car-park one weekend.
